A founder’s point of view

Most software asks to be believed. The good kind can prove it.

The unglamorous work is where products are won: understanding the person on the other side, refusing to collect data you can’t stand behind, and shipping the narrow thing completely instead of the broad thing nearly. That thread runs through every venture here.

VigiTrip

Passenger complaints about buses have always had the same weakness: anyone can file one, from anywhere, about a trip they were never on. VigiTrip closes that hole — it verifies from location, at the moment of writing, that the person complaining is actually on the bus. If it can’t verify, it rejects the report.

Operators get complaints they can act on, staff performance they can measure, and a compliance record that stands up internally. I built the whole system and pitched the pilots to management at national bus operators myself.

Porokh

Exam preparation for classes 6–12 — video lessons, interactive simulations, instant quizzes after every topic and timed practice papers, organised by class, subject and chapter. Live, with an Android app. A joint venture; I build and run the entire technical side.

Restaurant SaaS · Multi-tenant

Khawao

A no-code ordering and delivery platform — customer, admin and rider apps, with bKash and Nagad built in. I talked to owners before writing a line of it, and had a paying restaurant on board within days of launch.

Boloy

Students post an errand; ID-verified campus Runners pick it up. Escrow-held payments and a reputation score keep both sides honest. Live at Rajshahi University and RUET with its own Android app.

Prokhor

The other side of the classroom: a marketplace where Bangladeshi educators publish and sell their own courses — video streaming, student progress tracking and tiered commission payouts, with publishers actively teaching on it.

Bimukto

Browser tools that are genuinely free — QR generator, AI background remover, PDF utilities. It spread through university communities on its own, with nothing spent on marketing.

Barcode-based point-of-sale for small Bangladeshi retailers — groceries, pharmacies, fashion, hardware. Works offline, because the shops it is built for don’t always have a connection.

The person behind the work

An architecture student
who ships software.

I’m Md. Al Mahin Bin Hasan. I grew up in Jamalpur, I live in Rajshahi, and I’m in my second year of a B.Arch at RUET. Between lectures I run ViperDevs and build the ventures under it.

It started in Class 7 with tutorials and one question — could I make this myself? That instinct turned into a way of working. Later I led the Robotics & AI department at Notre Dame College’s IT Club, where building stopped being solitary and became something you do with people.

Studying architecture has changed how I build software more than any framework has. Both are the same exercise: a set of constraints, people who have to live inside the result, and the job of making something that holds up. A drawing that ignores how a person moves through a building fails the same way a product that ignores how a person actually works does.

Almost all of this I built alone, by preference rather than by accident. Designing it, building it, selling it and then answering the support messages myself means nothing is lost in a handoff — I hear the complaint and I can fix it the same afternoon. Porokh is the exception: a joint venture, where I own the technical side end to end.

Designed and built a location-verified passenger feedback platform for intercity bus operators, and negotiated complimentary pilot programmes directly with senior management and Managing Directors at national operators.

A joint venture building exam preparation for classes 6–12, live with an Android app. I build and run the entire technical side.

Bachelor of Architecture at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology, alongside building — exploring how design thinking and spatial planning shape everything else I make.

Started taking on client work through the studio, and shipped my first real product venture — a course marketplace for Bangladeshi educators.

Led robotics and AI initiatives, organised workshops and hackathons, shipped the club’s first ML project, and mentored students — while completing HSC at Notre Dame College, Dhaka.
